Champ to give a master class MASTERCLASS: Lewis

FORMER UNDISPUTED heavyweight champion of the world Lennox Lewis is heading to east London this week to conduct a master class.

Lewis, 44, will make his appearance at the Real Fight Club in Hackney to put 25 members of the boxing club through their paces.

The exclusive club is known for organising white collar training and boxing evenings for members most of whom are leading company directors.

The session, which is being run to raise money in support of Kids' Company and Angus Lawson Memorial Trust charities, will last one hour.

Talking about how much the opportunity meant to him Simon Russell, a private equity financier said: “I can’t believe that I’ll get the chance to train with him and get some first hand advice into the bargain. It’s a dream come true for any boxing fan.”

Lewis’s visit to the Real Fight Club came about as the former champion was visiting the UK for the Commonwealth Sports Awards which took place last weekend in Leeds.

Over the past nine years the Real Fight Club have led the way in promoting white collar and celebrity boxing, raising more than £1.5 million for various charities around the world.
